When you want a base just for work and chill how do you chose?

So the thing is there are months i like to disconect from everything and just focus on my work.

Ive been thinking on maybe going to some smaller places away from everyhting but i never actually rented in these places.

how do you go about it? just open airbnb and rent? is there some extra step worth doing like checking how safe it is you recommend?

also im from EU so i will be looking for these type of places …
